1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
“In case of emergency, please attach your own oxygen mask before assisting others.†We’ve heard it many times boarding a plane; perhaps we don’t listen anymore. As wives and mothers, it’s easy to take care of everyone else and ignore our own needs. Self-care and taking time out for ourselves as women make us better wives and mothers. As a cancer survivor, it’s that exact self-care that saved my life!
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
As the mother of two teenage daughters, watching them grow into their God given talents gets me most excited about life! Their dreams and goals become my visions too, as my husband and I help them navigate this world. They simply took my breath away watching them compete on the International Pageants stage last year in the Pre Teen and Teen pageants! From their very first cry, Brooklynn and Bentley have been my greatest adventure!
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
I would definitely teach sun safety and self-care! I am a Certified Melanoma Educator and Certified Life Coach. My passion is to share my personal cancer story, as well as recovery and prevention. Taking time for yearly checkups and knowing what is normal for your body is a course that can save your life! I’m also an interior designer and event planner, so I’m sure I could teach a few fun classes on that too!
4.What is the most random fact you know?
I love this stage of life I am in! However, raising teens keeps me a bit younger than I really am! They are my social media experts and keep me up to date on all the trends! So, if I didn’t know my age, I would definitely think I am in my late twenties. I take my physical fitness much more seriously now, so I’m confident I could outrun my younger self too!
5.What is the one thing you’ll never do again?
Broadway! My husband and I love theater! While we live in Tennessee, my husband’s business is based in NYC. A quick trip to meet him in the city has always been our favorite date night! A great dinner, the lights and sounds of NYC and a fabulous musical is my love language- and one we have passed on to our daughters too! Its common to see all 4 of us on these dates!
