1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
Striving to achieve the goals I have set for myself, such as becoming Mrs. Oklahoma International, is what keeps me persevering in life. I have worked seven years to earn a state title. When I first set out on this journey, I never could have conceived it would take this long, but through my “failures,” I kept persevering and learned that it had to happen on God’s timing instead of my own.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
Honestly, just having a day at home either solo or with my husband, Kevin, and daughter, Berkley, would be my idea of a perfect day. It’s nice to have days where you can make your own schedule without hinderance. I love my job as an educator, but sometimes life is hectic, and it’s nice to just slow down and enjoy some down time in your own home with the ones you love.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
I think I make a difference each day by always listening to the other person’s point of view without judgment. I learned from one of the great protagonists in literature, Atticus Finch, that you never really know a person until you look at things from their perspective. I establish trust and empathy with others in this way.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
Goodness, that’s a tough one! I have held on to many treasured childhood toys and memorabilia, but the most treasured item in my home is something I acquired recently when my husband and I renovated our house. I was blessed to receive my grandmother Ardyth’s brass chandelier. I love it because it’s a beautiful item and reminds me of my grandmother, and it’s something I can pass down to my daughter, Berkley.
